A real reviewer with some standards is Tom Mcshea. Caro just can't keep her feminist agenda out of the majority of her work. That said, I have no problem with this review in particular. The problem here isn't woman. You fellows depend on IGN 9.5 amazing like it's oxigen. When a real reviewer with some standards comes along such as Carolyn Petit you throw baby bitch fits for no 9.5 amazing and come up with whatever bullshit reason you can to dismiss reality. Grow up please.

Killzone: one of the most ridiculously loved shooter series that somehow has only had one game that's considered good. Â That's almost as sad as Crysis fans.

Sure, the cows hype it, but that's because their standards for shooters are really, really, REALLY low, but even then I don't even think cows like it that much. CoD or Battlefield is their go-to game.

I was baiting dude.
[QUOTE="Ghost120x"]Lame. The game is a 8.5-9 to me. It's the best shooter I've played on any handheld so far. I tried nova on iOS and quickly deleted it. I'm ashamed I bought such crap like that.loco145The Conduit HD is the best Handheld FPS. That is mobile fps not handheld I take cod declassified and killzone mercenary over that, which looked like resistance burning skies IMO

those cons don't look like anything major to knock off points for a great game.Bangerman15
Obviously it's not that "great" a game to her.
People always think games should earn 9s and 10s just for not boning anything up horribly. Must be these low educational standards I've heard so much about.

- sells below average
- multiplayer in every game has turned into a ghost town just weeks after launch

This picture makes all of this funnier than it should be.

"Oh, this game isn't a steaming pile of crap, why no 9?"
Yeah I never got that train of thought.

You were high on Antichamber right? There is no double standard here at all. I've always said the same thing about Sony's handheld strategy since the day I sold my PSP; nobody bought a Gameboy to play console games on the move. Nobody bought a GBA to play gamecube games. Nobody buys a DS looking for a Wii-like experience. The handheld platform is unique, and the games that are made for handheld platforms are unique to that platform. They look and play completely differently to console games.
Look at a game like Advance Wars. It's one of the finest games of all time, and it's specifically a handheld experience. It just wouldn't work if they made it into a PS3 or a 360 game.
Sony's strategy has always been to take the games you already own on your console, water them down to run on inferior hardware, and then sell them back to you to play on an obscenely overpriced handheld. These games are rarely, if ever, developed as handheld games. They are console games gimped to run on a handheld device. And in that respect reviewers are perfectly within their rights to say 'this game is just like Killzone on your PS3, but shittier', because that's exactly what it is. And who the hell wants to play that?
The point proves itself when you consider that the vast majority of critically acclaimed games on the PSP were made *for* the PSP and were proper handheld games, like Lumines in its day. Watered down, gimped versions of games you've already played are never going to have a 9 slapped on them because BUT IT'S A HANDHELD!

Blab, of course.Â
He loves shitty Vita games.Â
[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"][QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]You were high on Antichamber right? That might be overstating it but yeah. I started it, game is crazy good, kind of gives me headaches. You should play the Swapper(it's not even comparable beyond being a puzzle game), as that's a clever puzzle game. But man that Antichamber, phew. Some of those puzzles man, holy shit. Some of those are pure no f*ck around stuff. Just insane.Obviously it's not that "great" a game to her.

[QUOTE="Demonjoe93"]Yep, as did 90% of Killzone Mercenary, Uncharted Golden Abyss, and other big budget Vita titles' reviews do. It's a pathetic double standard that I found a wildly intelligent and amusing post on in GameFaqs, especially when using examples like Resident Evil Revelations on the 3DS where no comparisons exist.Wait, did she really compare it to console shooters?Â

Â
I very much agree,Â
How dare she talk about things in a male dominated gaming culture.Eh Carolyns Reviews have always been average, haven't Taken her seriously since that *Are The Makers Of Persona 4 Homophobic" *Blog Post* she posted on Gamespot.

I just don't think anybody cares. The game is very short and the substance that is there is just more Killzone. Is no one gonna mention how great this game looks for a handheld? it's better  than a tonne of console games
dvalo9
Best shooter on handhelds though as she clearly closes with that at the end. Stevo_the_gamerWHOA...you're asking people to READ THE REVIEW? Holy crap...too much man too much. The score is all that matters and every game I want should get a 9 or 10. All games I wanna buy, but haven't played yet, should get 10's.

You shouldn't agree. I'll repost something I said on the first page: I don't see what the problem in the review is? She compared this Killzone game to previous Killzone games in the series. This is not something 3DS games are exempt from (see also: Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and Mario Kart 7 reviews). Moreover, the 'full console experience in your pocket' is how the Vita is billed. It is not how the 3DS has ever been billed. The score seems low, admittedly, since the game looks great, but eh. lolGamespotscores.Yep, as did 90% of Killzone Mercenary, Uncharted Golden Abyss, and other big budget Vita titles' reviews do. Well Sony marketed the Vita, as a portable with console gaming experiences. There's nothing wrong with comparing it's games to those same experiences. if I'm playing Killzone or Uncharted on the Vita I would be thinking about how it is compared to the console counterpart, either that or you're thinking what makes that game "Unique" to the Vita and not something that could have been better done on the PS3.Best shooter on handhelds though as she clearly closes with that at the end. Stevo_the_gamerMost people have never played it, but fav as a shooter is Moon on handheld. It's an old schooler more like Doom than shooters we play now. With lots of hidden areas that can take you awhile to find everything.
